Transport applications

With its built-in shock sensor and massive -20° to +65°C operation range, the Pro.A40 model is ideal for use in cars, lifts and outdoors. The DiREX-Pro.A40 easily handles even the most sudden and rapid of temperature changes. It is secured in fan less, dust-proof, aluminium housing and needs no heating. Therefore this device is incredibly low on energy consumption - reduced to a record-breaking 27 BTU.

The time is synchronised by GPS data acquisition, next to which are shown the coordinates, speed and direction as subtitles on the video picture. New is the extraordinary vibration resistance of up to 2 G (by 5-200 Hz) - and that's without shock-absorption! That is approximately triple the usual comparative values. The permissible operating altitude without pressurization at ambient temperatures up to 45 ºC was enhanced by 40% compared to ordinary HDD-DVRs.

Note about EDGE
This GSM-based technology is provided in Germany by T-Mobile and Vodafone and will be expanded to equal GPRS coverage. The provider plans to reach uplink speed of 110 kbit/s - comparable to 2-ch ISDN.

Note about GPRS
Integrated PDA mode – ideal for use via low bandwidths.

  VPN tunnel / NAT

As many mobile network providers use Network Address Translation (NAT) and don't provide public IPs when dialling up GSM/3G networks, it is recommended to use own, router-established VPN tunnel to company's central office. This solution is provider-independent and without auxiliary costs.

Forced picture compression (if VPN is not available)

To minimize the data traffic when surfing, some mobile network providers employ an automatic picture compression, which cannot be completely disabled. In such cases, the data flow generated by DiREX-Pro, witch is not encrypted via VPN, cannot be displayed.
